UndocuNews had the chance to speak to members of the NM Together for Health who are pushing for a possible Medicaid buy-in in New Mexico.

Currently there’s close to 180,000 New Mexicans who do not have access to health insurance and about half of those are undocumented immigrants living in the state.

The coalition hopes to create a buy-in program that allows New Mexicans to achieve family stability and develop opportunities to thrive.
